Giving Back

Regarding the Denver Rescue Mission

The team at Wealth Strategies are immensely focused on ways to give back as part of our core values of "Elevating Community".

When deciding who to serve, we weigh our decisions in part on an alignment of values and those values need to support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Like the rest of the public, we have recently learned of certain discriminatory policies in place with Denver Rescue Mission — policies targeted exclusively toward members of the LGBTQ community.

While Denver Rescue Mission has openly stated that they will be removing this language from their policies and guidelines, we are concerned that such policies were originally considered, which highlights that the current DRM decision-makers values do not align with our own.

We wholeheartedly align with the needed support that similar missions and shelters provide to hundreds of thousands of individuals daily, but we refuse to support discrimination.

We stand strongly in our internal assessment that passing judgement upon individuals based on sexual orientation or identity is neither just, nor inclusive. So, we are internally reassessing any further support of Denver Rescue Mission.

Homelessness and addiction affect thousands in Colorado who still need support.

The Wealth Strategies team will continue to seek new ways to support and elevate those in our community who are in need.

Adopt-A-Family 2021

Last year's Wealth Strategies Adopt-A-Family drive was amazing, so this year we have kicked it up a notch.  For 2021, the team has adopted 6 families for a total of 18 children, and the pile is ready for our Elves to start the deliveries!

Project Angel Heart's 2021 Virtual Summer Cereal Drive

Let's put a healthy breakfast on the table for neighbors with life-threatening illnesses like cancer, kidney disease, and HIV/AIDS.

Between now and July 31, 2021, contribute or start your own virtual cereal drive to help Project Angel Heart exceed their goal of $40,000!

Many of the people who receive Project Angel Heart meals are underweight or malnourished as a result of their illness. And that's a problem! Maintaining a healthy weight is important, especially for people who have serious health conditions. There are many benefits of being at a healthy weight, including having enough energy to withstand medical treatments, having a stronger immune system, making medications more effective, and limiting side effects.

The Wealth Strategies Team Cycled Toward a World Free of MS.

Wealth Strategies formed a team for Bike MS – a fundraising ride that changes the world for people affected by multiple sclerosis. MS is a devastating, unpredictable disease. Every mile pedaled and every dollar rasied brings us closer to a world free of MS.

The riders rode the 80 mile distance after long hours of training, and we appreciate everyone who was a part of this incredible experience.

If you’d like to support a cure for MS, please donate or join our growing 2022 team! We set an ambitious goals because we know that with support from people like you, we will get there.

Please help reach the goal of a world free of MS.

Travis Cycles Every Year Toward a World Free of MS.

This was Travis’ 10th year riding for Bike MS – a fundraiser that changes the world for people affected by multiple sclerosis. This year he tackeled new territory by joining the MS ride in Colorado. Travis is already committing the time and training to be ready for next year and is asking for your support of his efforts.

While setting an ambitious goal, Travis is confident that with you, he can exceed that target.

Travis rides for MS because of the impact it has had on several people he cares about. Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. While MS can be devastating, the money raised through Bike MS fuels cutting-edge MS-Curing research and critical services to ensure people affected by MS have the resources they need to live their best lives. Many of the people Travis knows have benefitted from this research and resources that have been made available as a result.

Travis was riding a 2017 Specialized Tarmac Comp Torch. This was his 10th year riding for MS. One year in Vegas, eight years in CA, and this first year riding in CO

Please help Travis continue to help them!
