Jackie holds a degree from Oklahoma State University. She studied engineering prior to having children. In 2009, she was able to finish with a degree in Mathematics and Business.

Jackie has been an active member of a national professional organization, Women In Finance and Insurance (WIFS). The mission statement of this organization is to Attract, Develop and Promote women in the financial services industry. She has served on several national committees and has recently rolled off the Executive Committee for the Rocky Mountain Chapter of WIFS in Denver. She is the past President of TEAM, a local nonprofit that serves Fort Collins and area communities, to help encourage young people choose a healthy lifestyle. She currently volunteers on the Horsetooth Open Water Swim Committee. The Horsetooth Open Water Swim is a marathon swim, swimming from the North end of the Horsetooth Reservoir to the South end, covering a distance of 10 kilometers
Jackie and her husband, Ben Sartin have been married for 35 year. Together, they enjoy golf, biking, hiking and all things outdoor. They have three grown sons, two daughter-in-laws, and four grandchildren with the excitement of two new grandchildren to be born this year! They also have a little dog named Easter Lily whom they rescued that was found along the highway and later arrived to them on Easter weekend.
